Last Light

My favorite time of day...the final moments before our sun slips below the horizon. The diminishing light changes our landscape sometimes very subtle and sometimes with astonishing drama. Long shadows and changing colors, not only in our skies but on everything on the ground as well...the effect is fleeting...Color In Motion.

This image is a row of grain silos along a railroad siding in the high desert near Mountain Home, ID. Five minutes after I took the photo the show was over.
