With this painting, I tried to illustrate the moving water in Marsh Creek by using exaggerated color and a wide variety of brushstrokes. I tried to create movement by varying the sizes and shapes of colors in the water, and by placing contrasting colors next to each other, while overlapping translucent washes of others.
